On Thursday June, 2nd, a team of cyclists from NTRC will participate in Alpe d’HuZes, a fund raising event for cancer research. The aim of the event is to reach the summit of the legendary mountain peak Alpe d’Huez in the French Alpes with a maximum of six times on one day (‘zes’ is ‘six’ in Dutch). The NTRC team supports the fight against cancer through sponsorship. All donations are dedicated to cancer research projects funded by the Dutch Cancer Society (KWF).
NTRC is a team of biologists and chemists that is committed to contribute to the development of new cancer therapies every day. By providing services to other biotech and pharmaceutical companies and through research on new small molecule drug leads, NTRC contributes to the development of improved, personalized anti-cancer therapies. NTRC’s research on novel biological concepts to treat cancer is carried out in close collaboration with universities and academic medical centers of excellence. Like many, cancer has also hit NTRC employees in their private lives. NTRC scientists will cycle the Alpe d’HuZes to contribute to the fight against cancer outside of the laboratory.
